Amazing and Fun Math!
According to Special Days in June, the 19th is Blaise Pascal’s birthday (1623). Somehow we missed studying about one of the greatest mathematicians and philosphers of all time when we focused on that time in history. So, we’re going to take a day or two of summer studies to devote to learning about Pascal and his triangle. You know, that’s one of the many perks with home education – when you discover a gap somewhere, you can fill it right in.

Pollinator Week! Amazing Resource List!
Happy Pollinator Week! This may seem like an odd ‘holiday’ to celebrate and it certainly is not as well known as many other holidays but I think it is a great time to teach about all of our beneficial pollinators. Each year in June a week is designated as National Pollinator Week in order to celebrate and educate people about our pollinators. Pollinators are vital to our food supply and environment but unfortunately, many of them are declining in population.
