This week a question came across one of the homeschooling social media groups that I help with. A mother asked the group members if they had any suggestions for putting together a “Youtube video playlist of 5 -10 minute workouts”. She said it would be great for her family to have for a fun ” get up and move break in between lessons”.
A “get up and move break between lessons” is a wonderful idea, and I think most homeschooling families try to incorporate some sort of physical activity throughout their day. However, with it being winter and so many places having record breaking cold temperatures and snowfall records, sending the kids out to play, ride bikes, or run around the house just is not possible. A Youtube playlist of exercise type videos is exactly what is needed for that activity break between lessons.
A few of us moms pitched in with sharing and screening videos and below is the list of links that were deemed “homeschooling mom approved”. This cooperative break time playlist offers lots of variety! If you picked two or three of the following videos a day, you could watch them for several days without repeating any.

Dear reader, if you have a favorite Youtube video that you use in your homeschooling for exercise, would you please share it in the comments. There are homeschooling moms who need some more suggestions for their own “break time playlists”. Also, if you think you may be interested in joining a homeschooling social media group, I recommend joining either or both of these Facebook groups https://www.facebook.com/groups/567122276640599/ and https://www.facebook.com/groups/210519735725683/.
