I nearly choked laughing when I saw the potato photo! It reminded me of what my husband did many years ago when he was going to bake brownies. I looked in the oven, and there was a pan of brownie batter with a toothpick floating in the middle. I asked why in the world he did that. He said. “The instructions on the box said ‘the brownies are done when a toothpick comes out clean.’ How do you get the toothpick to stand up, though? It keeps falling over.” I believe he was envisioning something similar to a turkey with a pop-up timer. Oh, well, at least he DID read the instructions. Ha ha!

I’m thinking they do it on purpose so we won’t ever ask them to cook! Lol
